Sub Contracts Buyer/Manager

Subcontracts Buyer/Manager - 6 months - London - Negotiable Rate

Experienced Subcontracts Buyer/Manager required for a large Defence and Security client of Hyphen Recruitment.

Skills required:

*Placement of major subcontracts, high in value (in excess of £5m), high in complexity and high in risk.
*Including working with subcontractors who are also competitors on other projects
*Communication and presentation
*Interpersonal at all organisational levels, internal and external
*Relevant purchasing, commodity and category management experience
*Experience of working in a major programme/project environment preferably in the rail industry or Oil & Gas
*Experience of working in a multi-discipline team environment
*Relevant subcontracts and subcontractor management experience
*Contract law
*Analytical skills
*Technical and commercial Purchasing Family knowledge
*Experienced in using ERP systems
*Commercially astute with negotiation skills and experience
*Self Starter with well-developed organisational skills
