My client is currently looking for Student Support Workers to join their Additional Learning team.
There are a variety of working hours available including 16, 20, 24, 27, 30, 32, 33 or 35 hours a week over Monday to Friday. These roles are term time only working 38 weeks of the year to support the student curriculum timetable.

In this term time only role you will be responsible for working with learners who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities to enable them to access their course. Working within a busy classroom environment, you will adopt a range of methods to support learner needs to enable their continued learning potential leading to greater retention and achievement. You will use your skills to mentor and guide students in their learning, helping them stay focussed in their work, liaising with tutors on planned support for the lesson and throughout the scheme of work, and actively seek opportunities to promote their self-esteem, confidence and independence.

To be considered for this role you must have experience of supporting others and hold a minimum of a level 2 qualification in English and Maths. You will also be a strong team player and have effective communication and interpersonal skills along with a professional approach in dealing with others.
