I have a well-established client looking for an experienced structural/Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Newcastle. They have a range of projects coming up and are keen to expand their team. They are looking to take on a contractor, however would also consider a permanent candidate.

My large client provides services to the oil and gas industry. The successful structural and Mechanical Engineer should have a range of experience within the oil and gas industry, but particularly on offshore projects and structures - FPSOs/fixed platforms/vessels.

Key skills for the structural/mechanical design engineering position:
-Experience of structural and mechanical engineering on offshore based projects
-Knowledge of Ansys and Staadtpro
-Ability in 3D design- Inventor
-Able to carry out all structural calculations
-Hold relevant HND/degree or equivalent
