Structural Mechanic Job

STRUCTURAL AIRCRAFT MECHANICS are needed for a cONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in VICTORVILLE, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Looking for Mechanics to work on airframe and structural repair of aircrafts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Drilling, riveting, and maintenance repair work on aircraft
- Perform light rigging
- Work on cockpit
- Work on landing gear
- Perform flight control
- Ability to fill out paper work, parts tags, call book, engineering log, component change log, and part requisitions correctly and accurately as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Airframe and power plant certification/license
- Minimum of five (5) years hands on experience working on structural modification, aircraft body repair - in commercial (preferred) or military setting working on major components including riveting and repair of body/structure
- Be certified to operate large forklifts, 400 hz power units, hydraulic mule and air start units. Certified to operate cherry pickers, mark lifts, small forklifts and small tugs.
- Must have general knowledge of Boeing wide body aircraft and its subsystems
- Experience rigging tasks, working on landing gear, performing flight control
- Certified cockpit operation including APU
- Able to have or learn quickly complete knowledge of the use of the maintenance manual, illustrated parts catalog, overhaul manual, engine manuals, and service bulletins.
- Work overtime as required to support the aircraft.
- Have the technical ability to perform light rigging tasks.
- General knowledge of cockpit operations and engine runs.
- Ability to replace major components.
- Multi-aircraft experience with the ability to learn additional aircraft and their subsystems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform system tests.
- Extensive knowledge of a variety of aircraft.
- Able to come up with solutions and suggestions on how to increase performance and quality.
- Highly desired: experience with sheet metal working/composite repair
- Preferred: experience with Heavy Check on wide body aircraft such as 767, 747, 757 Boeing or Airlines - "letter check C or D check"
- This is a twelve (12) month contract, paying $28.00 per hour.
