Structural Engineer

My client, based in the Oil and Gas sector, is currently looking for an experienced structural engineer to join their offices in Norway. The role is to work through a project life cycle of a new topside module, though feed, production, fabrication and delivery.

Skills/experience:

- 5 - 10+ years industry experience
- ANSYS structural
- Staad Pro
- AutoCAD
- DNV or NORSOK standards
- GeniE (beneficial - not necessary)
- Client interface experience

Duties:

You will be working on the full project life cycles for the design, fabrication and installation of multiple PCMs (Power Control Module)(100t) which will be designed to hold topside equipment.

- Receive and review client specifications - produce relevant supplier requirements
- Specific build drawing
- Carry out supplier invitation to tender
- Review and validate supplier offers - select supplier
- Follow project through fabrication to delivery - ready for lifting, sea fastening, installation procedure
- Liaise between client and suppliers

The role is on a long term contractual basis.
