Structural Engineer

Yoh has a contract to direct opportunity for a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to join our client in Orlando, FL.

JOB OVERVIEW:
Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer who independently applies advanced engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline. The Structural Engineer will develop designs that require innovation and ingenuity for a variety of government, commercial, and industrial projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
- The Structural Engineer would be responsible for evaluating the desired goal of the project then develop, design, or select the required structural systems and construction materials to achieve the goal.
- Performing calculations and directing activities and as necessary to develop designs, construction documents, specifications and related information for the selected structural systems.
- The Structural Engineer would also perform construction administration duties to ensure that construction, and installations conform to plans, and specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and with the client. Strong skills using computer-assisted design software required to perform engineering tasks.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or MS in related Engineering discipline
- At least seven to ten (7-10) years of experience required
- Strong skills using computer-assisted design software required to perform engineering tasks
- Must know RAM Structural
- Performs work with minimal supervision and considerable latitude to determine objectives and approaches to assignments.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- PE is preferred
