Structural Designer Job

SENIOR STRUCTURAL DESIGNER needed for a SIX MONTH (6) CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Baytown, TX.

THE BIG PICTURE:

- Position located at client site-large industrial chemical facility. Tobacco free workplace.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Produce design drawings for concrete and steel structures such as footings, caissons, grade beams, columns, base plates, anchor bolts, beams, vertical and horizontal bracing for Industrial facilities.
- Read and understand scopes of work, estimates, and schedules.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- 10 to 15 years of experience in design of processing facilities or the like.
- Working knowledge of PDS and MicroStation (SmartPlant and 3D a plus).
- Proficient in 2D and 3D design.
- Ability to layout building components for steel and concrete.
- Must be able to work with little if any supervision.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Works well with structural engineers, clients, and other disciplines to obtain needed information.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of field work as needed to collect and verify data.
