PAY RATE : Up to 58 GBP/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Principle Responsibilities/Accountabilities

- Initiate and develop technical solutions, compliant with requirements within agreed budgets and timescales and in accordance with the company Quality Management System.
- Support and assist customer and any partner suppliers on project.
- Investigate technical issues, prepare associated technical documentation and incorporate modifications into the digital definition in order to provide design solutions.
- Complete structural evaluations using CAD packages and hand calculations, as required

Provide Technical experience/advice in aircraft design and modification.
- Complete engineering tasks, as directed by Team Leader or Technical specialist.
- Working with the team assist with the creation and update of detail, assembly and installation digital definition, incorporating engineering and tooling requirements to cost, program and quality.

Present at, or provide engineering input to, technical reviews within the company partnership and with customers. - Ensure you become conversant with, and maintain currency with, general company procedures, quality procedures and customer requirements regarding the engineering processes.
- Take responsibility for progress and technical content of the work of any delegated team members, mentoring where appropriate.
- Liaise with customers at the working level in order to meet their requirements.
- Manage your own and any delegated others workload within the parameters defined by the tasking documentation.
- Attend review gates and other scheduled, and unscheduled, meetings as required in support of delivery the centres.
- Identify any required training to line manager to complete current or future perceived needs.
- Maintain your own training records for career development and support progress reviews with manager.

Skills/competence (essential to carry out this role)

- Competent Engineering background with attention to detail.
- Able to discuss and evolve concept solutions with other technical specialists
- Experience of clean sheet' design would be an advantage
- Experience of metallic fuselage design
- Good communication/inter-personnel skills
- Able to prioritise multi-task demands in a pressurised environment.
- Comfortable working within a team environment but also able to work alone if required.
