Projektbeschreibung

To conduct stress analysis in support of Engineering project requirements and assist Chief Engineers in delivering Stress projects to completion on time, within budget and to the agreed technical requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

Develop technical solutions which are compliant with all relevant requirements, within agreed programs, timescales and manufacturing constraints.
To ensure design compliance by applying classical methods of analysis in accordance with internal policies, procedures and work instructions.
To work in co-operation with other functional areas of the company to achieve local and overall business objectives.
To provide solutions to meet airworthiness standards and design approvals.
To provide concession support to existing and future production platforms.
To develop test plans and processes in line with customer and industry requirements in order to ensure the acceptability of both materials and finished product
Assure the structural integrity of designs by appropriate static stress analysis and fatigue stress analysis.
Assist in ensuring that designs are cost effective using appropriate techniques such as design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) and design to cost
Assist in the selection of appropriate materials and manufacturing technology.
Produce structural or systems documentation including requirements specifications, safety documentation, qualification reports, stress reports and STRs.
Structural testing methods and results interpretation.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in relevant degree discipline.
Experience of working with aircraft structures (metallic and/or composite) ideally gained within the aerospace industry.
Good working knowledge of classical stress engineering methods across product life cycles from concept through to production.
A good working knowledge of available bespoke software techniques such as CATIA V5, Hyperworks and Hypermesh
A knowledge of the relevant airworthiness requirements related to airframes
Experience in Damage, Fatigue & Tolerance (FD&T) based theories and activities.
Broad knowledge of the manufacturing processes used to produce different airframe configurations
Knowledge and experience in the design, development and qualification of airframes and vehicle systems.
