Stress Engineer

Our client, a leading Aerospace engineering company, has a new requirement for 3 additional Stress Engineers to join there busy team based in Derby on a 12 month rolling contract basis.

Your main responsibility will be for FEA Analysis and lifing for components from Front bearing Housing, Intercase, HP/IP structure and Tail Bearing Housing and all associated Bearing Chamber Hub and internal components, as well as other transmission related systems and components.

Key Deliverables:

- FEA Analysis and lifing for components for components within transmission related systems.
- You will also have the ability to take the lead on assigned tasks and have good communication skills.
- Knowledge of the mechanical technology used to assess engine components would be beneficial.

Required Skills:

- Experience of using one or more of the following FE packages is required, Nastran, Patran, Ansys, Abaqus and SC03.
- Previous experience working within a Stress Engineering remit on Aerospace or Automotive contracts.
- Educated to Mechanical/Aerospace engineering degree level or equivalent.
