Strategic Software Sourcer

Randstad is looking to find a responsible and open minded candidate in Zurich with a strong understanding of software products and services and demonstrated success in negotiating and leading complex software contracts. Our client an international Swiss Bank.

KEY AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead sourcing projects for software products and services supporting the PBWM
- Develop, negotiate, execute and manage contracts for software products and services that incorporate business requirements, deliver substantial cost savings and improve service levels
- Develop, issue and manage competitive RFX's, in cooperation with key stakeholders including business and application owners
- Evaluate and review existing product and service arrangements and recommend alternative and innovative strategies for improved efficiencies and cost savings
- Identify and translate operational requirements into systems management metrics, SLA's and contractual terms and conditions
- Lead cross functional teams (end users, legal, IT demand management, etc.) with regards to assigned supplier negotiations
- Manage multiple high value sourcing/efficiency projects concurrently
- Introduce innovative sourcing ideas to the business, eg identify potential sourcing synergies between companies, Real Time benchmarking, knowledge sharing of best practices, etc.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary stakeholders with the goal of becoming a Trusted Advisor and Partner
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in other functional areas such as Legal and Compliance, Tax, Accounts Payable and others and understand their requirements and processes relating to software contracts
- For key suppliers act as a single point of contact for negotiations and escalations. Fully understand their product roadmaps and go to market strategy

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- 5 years+ strategic sourcing and vendor management experience with minimum 2 years focusing on Software. Proven track record in leading and negotiating large (multi-million/year) complex agreements
- Excellent contract negotiation skills: both in-person and in writing with strong knowledge of IT/software products
- Excellent communication and presentation skills: ability to communicate to a variety of audiences, including technology technical teams, management, executives and vendors
- Excellent contract negotiation skills: both in-person and in writing
- Strong team building skills with ability to build consensus and strong engagement with key stakeholders at all levels and across organizational boundaries
- Ability to move quickly into the position, manage multiple/conflicting priorities with a strong track record of delivery
- Excellent analytical skills and experience in developing financial analysis and technology
- investment business cases
- Fluent in English both in Writing and Speaking
- Knowledge of PBWM products and business model preferred but not required
