Strategic Communications Editor Job

STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS EDITOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Norristown PA.

- Copy
- Copy-Edits
- Proofread

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Reword or rewrite copy to ensure it is well-written (ie clear, understandable, readable, and as simple as possible), complete and accurate;
- correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax as well as ensure consistency with company and AP style; and verify and ensure consistency of facts and statistics.
- For the Inside Lines blog page, the position:
- Evaluates, edits and/or rewrites rough submissions from internal sources;
- As needed, prepares copy from raw information provided by internal sources;
- Coordinates work and submissions from internal sources; and
- Develops story or content ideas and copy as requested.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A degree in Journalism, Communications, English or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent writing and editing skills are essential.
- Candidates should have several years' demonstrated experience in journalism, writing and editing and a working knowledge of AP style.
- Familiarity with the electric power industry will be helpful.
