STRATEGIC BUYER

On behalf of our client, a globally renowned company with international presence, we are looking for a motivated STRATEGIC BUYER in Supply Chain Management for a contracting position in Zurich.

Your role:
- Purchase materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms.
- Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.
- Identify new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team.
- Qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
Your profile:
- Professional background in engineering - alternatively a qualification in business administration with several years of experience on a technical level
- At least 3 years relevant professional practice in strategic, international purchasing, ideally in the area of castings
- High technical affinity, well familiar with the processes of a complex Matrix organization
- Very strong communication skills and ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams
- Sound know-how about tools, methods and processes of strategic sourcing
- Fluency in spoken and written English, German knowledge of advantage
- Self-driven and highly motivated personality
- Very familiar with the legal and economic aspects of contracts
