STORES COORDINATOR

8 MONTHS - MATERNITY COVER

KYLE OF LOCHALSH

We are currently looking for a motivated, organised and disciplined individual to provide temporary cover for the British Underwater Test and Evaluation Centre (BUTEC) at the Shore Support Base at Kyle of Lochalsh. You would join a back-to-back team responsible for coordinating the management of all BUTEC and Rona waste requirements and day-to-day Stores activities.

OUTLINE OF DUTIES:

- The post holder acts as a site focal point for:
- goods in/goods out;
- inventory management;
- Site Waste Administrator (SWA);
- purchase of common stock across BUTEC and Rona;
- Recycling and disposals at BUTEC and Rona.
- Additional tasks include:
- The compiling and maintaining of PPE and tools records and the co-ordination of other site-wide requirements.
- The role holder is required to deal with people at all levels: staff; couriers; contractors; corporate function; lodgers; and suppliers.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

MANDATORY

- Robust administration skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to use Excel and other MS Office applications
- Supportable evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication skills

NICE TO HAVE

- Demonstrable know-how and understanding in areas of waste management
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge
- Good general education, preferably to A level standard or equivalent
