Storage/Vmware Specialist - Hands on

STORAGE/VMWARE SPECIALIST - HANDS ON

Our client is a large Australian retail institution, and seeking the services of a suitably experienced Storage Specialist with strong VMWare skills for an initial three to six month period, with extensions depending on performance.

The major requirements will be to:

Provide hands on and technical input to review data storage technologies and solutions into the program of ICT work scheduled for implementation and level 3 BAU support to the existing virtual environment.

Plan, build, implement and support Storage Area Networks and Storage Sub-System environments for new and existing applications.

Participate in technology reviews/future directions review, with 3rd party providers of information services.

Level 3 BAU support to the existing virtual environment

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Extensive experience with SAN and Storage Sub - System solutions and associated implementations/management/administration 

Extensive experience with VMWare, Hyper-V, vSphere

Experience with Dell, VMWare vSphere, HDS, Brocade, Cisco, Microsoft Operating Systems, VMware, Citrix, Exchange, and Active Directory

WE WOULD EXPECT AT LEAST 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A STORAGE/VMWARE SPECIALIST AT THE SENIOR LEVEL.

THIS IS A 3 TO 6 MONTH INITIAL ENGAGEMENT FOR A SUITABLY QUALIFIED STORAGE SPECIALIST WITH POSSIBLE EXTENSIONS.
