Storage Systems Engineer
Job Responsibilities & Qualifications of the Storage Systems Engineer:
- 8+ years' technical consultancy or operations experience with strong EMC VNX/Dell EqualLogic (4000, 5000 and 6000)/HP VSA/Fujitsu storage experience.
- 5+ years' experience as senior storage engineer responsible for one or more large enterprise storage environments or service provider environments.
- Proficient on all storage fundamentals.
- 5 years + hand-on experiences on EMC VNX/Unity/Dell EqualLogic/HP VSA/Fujitsu, with local & remote replication
- 6 years + hand-on experiences on Brocade Switches (configuration & management).
- Performance troubleshooting & fine tuning.
- Experience in migrating data from one storage vendor arrays to another storage vendor arrays. (Eg EMC to HP)
- Datacenter activity such as upgrades of the array need to co-ordinate with change management & vendor for the change window.
- Understand and hands-on provision/configure storage from end to end, array-SAN-hypervisor-OS-filesystems
- CLI experience in EMC VNX/Dell EqualLogic (4000, 5000, 6000)/HP VSA/Fujitsu with medium Scripting is desired.
- Good at one of the following, Python/Bash/KSH/PowerShell.
- Outstanding communications skills both written and verbal
- Enthusiasm self-motivated and self-driven.
- Comfortable to work in a fast-pacing environment.
- Comfortable to work individually, work with team and collaborate with other functional teams.
