Storage Engineer - Contract Job

STORAGE ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Phoenix, AZ.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Must have extensive experience supporting NetApp storage platform (7 mode and/or CDOT) and working knowledge of UNIX/Linux

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Actively and visibly seeks knowledge and understanding of client's business environment, priorities and processes. Performs product delivery and support while managing, negotiating, and meeting client's expectations. Interfaces with customer and other depts.
- Communicates issues openly, honestly, and timely with peers, management and customers.
- Delivers quality results on time and within budget. Simplifies or eliminates low value added work processes to assist in the conservation of corporate resources. Effectively prioritizes own work and manages time spent based on priorities.
- Develops effective business cases using sound cost/benefit analysis. For small to mid-size projects, coordinates all phases of project planning and execution, including estimating resources and tasks, creating, managing and controlling project schedules and resources.
- Develops, delivers and maintains quality computing infrastructure systems solutions to support computer processes, following IT architectures standards. Balances clients' technical requirements and architectural standards to provide effective infrastructure.
- Performs all work in a safe manner, appropriate to the work environment. Notices and takes action on all unsafe conditions when observed. Actively encourages safe work practices.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Requires a BS in Computer Science or Engineering or any combination of four years relevant work experience and completed years of relevant college coursework.
- An additional six (6) years progressively responsible experience demonstrating expert system infrastructure knowledge.
- Must have extensive experience supporting NetApp storage platform (7 mode and/or CDOT) and working knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
- Experience with VNX, Isilon, and/or Compellant a plus.
