Storage Engineer/Administrator Job

STORAGE ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in MATHER CA.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Enterprise Epic Ancillary systems design, engineering, and implementation experience

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Specific deliverables for Operations are daily ticket service request handling and incident management in terms of overall availability/performance.
- Project deliverables include system specifications, implementation plans, documentation, ongoing performance management and capacity planning for the existing devices within the Storage Environment.
- This includes the allocation of SAN Storage and Backup resources, storage migration activities, upgrades and reporting functions to meet negotiated service levels.
- These services require 24x7x365 high availability environment.
- High level of operational support is required including on-call rotation and off-hour deployments.
- Collaborates on and implements architecture recommendations, performs design related to application integration, system administration, problem management, preventive maintenance, and performance tuning, all within best practice standards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Enterprise Epic Ancillary systems design, engineering, and implementation experience
- Large scale enterprise environment experience with x86 infrastructure including HP & Cisco blade server platforms
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master of Arts or Master of Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Project Portfolio of prior implementations completed
- UNIX, MCSE Systems, Storage Certification
- Experience in: Enterprise virtualization platforms & technologies
- Knowledge w/experience in multiple disciplines, & former experience w/enterprise operations, systems engineering, & data center implementations
- Proven expertise in the engineering, implementation, operation, maintenance, and support of a wide range of server and storage platforms
- Knowledge in approved server operating systems, MS Active Directory, Windows Clustering, Citrix, and Virtualization Technologies
- Associated systems knowledge w/enterprise monitoring & inventory management, & associated performance & capacity management tools & technologies
- Associated systems knowledge with approved databases (eg Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, Cache) and related systems technologies.
- Implementing and administrating TCP/IP-based services including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, print services and other infrastructure components
- Ability to provide daily, weekly, and monthly systems capacity & performance review & assurance to capacity management for accurate metrics reporting
- Proven expertise around industry best practice standards in systems operations and engineering.
