Storage Engineer 3rd Level

The purpose of this role will be to provide 3rd line support for the Tech Solutions Storage infrastructure environment.

The role will be hands on and will be responsible for Project deliverables with a requirement to support BAU escalations and environment enhancement initiatives.

The role will be involved in the following:
*Open, modify and close incident tickets related to storage assets and help assist other technology platform groups when necessary
*Ensure that all storage assets are entered, updated and maintained in our asset management system to ensure proper support.
*Open, modify and close change control tickets related to the management and maintenance of these storage assets.
*Create; modify reports related to our SAN Fabric, SAN, & NAS storage environments.
*Ensuring that all SAN Fabric, SAN & NAS storage devices are monitored on a daily basis & that the proper alerting is setup and sent to the right technology group from a notification perspective.
*Create, modify and publish process & procedural documents that our team can leverage to support storage assets.
*Ensure that our storage devices have the highest availability for our customers.
*Ensure that the right capacity is purchased and deployed within the storage environment.
*Address any performance related issues on our storage infrastructure.
*Ensure that all of the storage devices deployed into our global environment meet or exceed the Audit, Risk, Governess, Disaster Recovery & Security requirements documented by policy.
*Advanced knowledge and application in server/storage management, SAN technologies and backup technologies
*Proven experience in storage management, with focus in NetApp FAS filers, high level in ability to zone SAN Switches (Cisco MDS, Brocade-5X00).
*Must also have working knowledge of NetApp Storage as well as blade technologies and Microsoft Operating Systems.
*Patch management capabilities - proficiency in maintaining currency with latest releases and patches
*Windows Enterprise Server, SQL Server and Microsoft cluster a plus
*EMC VNX storage technology
*VMware ESXi hypervisor
*Windows OS and share integration
*SnapManager products and SMVI/VSC

Additional Technical Skills
