Storage Engineer

Our client works to provide market leading technology and has a strong relationship with HP and Microsoft. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Storage Engineer to join their site based near Glasgow for a 3 month contract. DUE TO THE IMMEDIACY OF THIS REQUIREMENT, APPLICANTS MUST HOLD CURRENT MOD SC CLEARANCE.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completing low level designs.

Understanding customer workflow and SLA and designing procedures that meet these and the ability to recommend improvements to designs to increase efficiency.

Act as liaison between suppliers and other technical groups to resolve SAN/NAS.

Analyse performance problems connected with SAN/NAS and recommend solutions.

Understand principles of software packaging.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Enterprise Backup Solutions.

EMC ControlCentre.

EMC Storage.

SAN/NAS Configuration experience.
