For one of our client, a global worldwide pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for a STORAGE AND BACKUP SYSTEM ENGINEER with strong experience in storage operation environment such as: NETAPP, ISILON IQ etc.

This is a long-term contracting role starting from April until end of the year 2016.

In this challenging role the Storage and Backup System Engineer will be responsible for the Research IT Storage Operation.

You as a Storage & Backup System Engineer will cover the following major areas:

- Technical local & global NAS storage & backup project management
- Maintain "state-of-the-art" and flexible storage infrastructure
- Provide technical design documents following global NIBR guidelines
- Maintain Quality documentation in the area of expertise (IQ, WI, OM documents etc.)
- Provide documentation for RCP Level1 and Level2 operations teams

YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:

- AT LEAST 4 YEARS' EXPERIENCE in ENTERPRISE NAS STORAGE ENVIRONMENTS incl. related trainings
- Good technical experience in storage operation environment such as: NET APP, ISILON IQ
- Experience in NETAPP 7MODE TO CDOT MIGRATIONS IN MULTI-PROTOCOL ENVIRONMENTS
- Good experience in large enterprise operation environment
- Experience storage operation environment such as: EMC-VNX, BROCADE OR CISCO SSAN Fabric Switches, VERITAS NETBACKUP, DAradomain- PMI certification will be a big advantage
- Linux/Unix and bash/powershell Scripting experience is an asset
- Experienced in working in local & global storage projects (on time, quality & budget)
- Ability to work in team of 5+ people
- Practical, hands-on personality, result-oriented
- Flexible to accommodate organizational changes in evolving IT infrastructure Organization
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (know-how of any additional European languages is an advantage, esp. French and German)
