Storage and Backup Administrator - Netapp - EMC - Pharma - Switzerland

STORAGE AND BACKUP ADMINISTRATOR is required to work on a project for a major pharmaceutical in Switzerland.

Storage and Backup Administrator is covering the following major areas:

- Technical local & global storage & backup project management,
- Maintain state-of-the-art and flexible storage infrastructure,
- Provide technical design documents
- Maintain Quality documentation in the area of expertise (IQ, WI, OM documents)
- Pro-active storage provisioning

MAIN TASKS:

- Operate & maintain leading-edge heterogeneous network storage infrastructure (SAN & NAS)
- Operate & maintain enterprise backup infrastructure
- Pro-active storage provisioning
- Support heterogeneous storage and backup environment (EMC, NetApp, Symantec, Quantum, )
- Support technical storage & backup projects such as data migration & hardware life cycle
- Organize and schedule maintenance following Change Management process
- Maintain storage Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) & Working Instructions (WI) for Quality Management
- Support and Implement Disaster Recovery solutions in the area of expertise
- Support technical storage & backup projects such as data migration & hardware life cycle
- Manage advanced storage tools for centralized operations, monitoring & reporting
- Provide storage report on-request using existing storage management tools and processes
- Provide technical expertise to IT system administrators and IT architects
- Increase security capabilities and mitigate risks applying global security Baseline
- Ensure proper infrastructure implementation of global standards, policies and regulatory compliance (GLP/GCP: Good Laboratory Practice/Good Clinical Practice).

MAIN SKILLS:

- Minimum 3 years experience in area of responsibility: Enterprise storage environments SAN & NAS
- Training record in area of responsibility
- Good experience in large enterprise backup operation environment such as: Symantec NetBackup, Data Domain or De-Duplication solutions.
- Suitable experience in storage operation environment such as: NetApp FAS, ISILON IQ, EMC-CX, EMC-VNX, Brocade or Cisco SAN Fabric Switches
- Experienced working in local & global storage projects (on time, on spec, on quality and on budget).
- Ability to work in a team of 5+ people
- Practical, hands-on personality, results-oriented
- Flexible to accommodate organizational changes in evolving IT Infrastructure Organisation
- Fluent in English (knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage, especially French and German).

LOCATION: BASEL - SWITZERLAND
DURATION: 12 months (with optional extension)
HOURLY RATE: negotiable

Assistance will be provided for obtaining Swiss Work Permit, Housing, and opening Swiss Bank account.
