Statutory Accoutant

Job Summary:

This is a contract position acting as a key Statutory Accountant in finance responsible for driving the Statutory financial and tax compliance within a group of entities in EMEA. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in statutory accounting and tax compliance at a technology company or an established public practice firm. The ability to deliver results and to work with cross functional teams, including very senior executives in the company, is critical for success. Prior experience in the networking communications industry would be a plus.

Specific responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Support the company's compliance process, to ensure all statutory accounting and tax deliverables are achieved within defined deadlines.
- Support the complete statutory accounting and tax life cycle from, preparation of packs through to audit completion and subsequent fillings.
- Engage with and support key stakeholders - Statutory auditors, Corporate Finance, local accounting/tax providers, finance business partners FP&A, Global Tax, and Business Process Owners leads to deliver a well aligned and holistic statutory financial and tax compliance model.
- Work effectively within a high performance team of Regional Controllers.
- Develop an understanding and knowledge around impact of US GAAP, local GAAP and IFRS.
- Assist with team in driving process improvements to align to overall Finance vision for statutory reporting.
- Foster open sharing of information and ideas within statutory team and all other Finance and non Finance teams.
- Support global initiatives as they arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3 to 5 years of finance experience in a high-tech company, preferably networking communications and leading public practice firm
- Knowledge of local and US GAAP and IFRS.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related subjects and ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified is highly essential.
- Must demonstrate high energy, initiative and creativity
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and comply with tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of MS Office products essential, with knowledge of Oracle/SAP advantageous.
