Statistical Analyst/Risk Modeller - Contract

OUR CLIENT, A LARGE BANKING ORGANISATION IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT AN EXPERIENCED STATISTICAL ANALYST TO JOIN A BUSINESS AND DATA ANALYTICS TEAM ON A LARGE CONDUCT RISK TRANSFORMATION PROJECT.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- To work within a Data Analytics Team to analyse, assess and determine if Proof of Concept models built in conjunction with third party consultancy firms during 2013, provide useful MI. Proposal to be made on whether the deployment of further models is required. Looks to deliver a strategic solution for Conduct Risk modelling (platform)
- Determine if the 2013 POC models provide useful information.
- Determine which aspects of which models are most desirable moving forwards.
- Determine whether the existing POC models will be modularised and built on a product family basis, etc.
- Determine what action will be taken as a result of the model output.

- Modelling strategy & development
- Existing model validation
- Statistical background
- Strong business analysis skills with specific experience of Risk MI & Data.
- Compliance and Conduct Risk knowledge/experience
- Ability to work across multiple business areas
- Experience of working with IT, having an understanding of joint requirements
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Ability to translate technical details for a business audience focussing on outcomes rather than the process.
