Static Mechanical Engineer

Position Specific
* Monitor the design contractor's work to specify the project mechanical equipment.
* Monitor the design contractor's development of mechanical commissioning procedures.
* Co-ordinate detailed equipment audits and studies performed by specialists.
* Assist the operations and maintenance team in establishing spare parts requirements and initial maintenance intervals for mechanical equipment.
* Transfer process and mechanical technical knowledge to plant operations and engineering support staff.
* Perform economic evaluations of equipment alternatives with particular emphasis on availability and reliability projections and life cycle costs.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

* Chartered engineer or equivalent.
* Specific experience with LNG Mechanical Equipment and systems.
* Knowledge of air coolers, shell and tube exchangers including kettles, and cryogenic heat exchange equipment.
* Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII Division I and Section IX, API 660, and 661, and TEMA.
* Knowledge of equipment dynamics, hydraulic and heat transfer analysis, testing and auditing to interface with technical specialists in these areas.
* Experience with LNG Static, Utility equipment.
