Staff Drilling Engineer - Deepwater

Location: Houston, TX

Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering

Experience: Minimum of 8 years Drilling Engineering experience (ideally with an operator background); 10 years experience preferred. 5 years experience in well planning and well operations, preferably in deep water

Qualifications: Proven ability to function well in a team environment. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership potential.

Job duties to include:
* Prepares well plans, conducts risk assessment and AFE's for complex ultra deep water and sub-salt exploration wells or for development wells as part of a major project.
* Prepares technical specifications for materials and services.
* Recommends performance metrics and goals for well operations.
* Directs service providers in preparation of drilling fluid programs, cementing programs and directional well plans.
* Provides pre-project feasibility assessments and cost estimates.
* Provides engineering support to field operations during drilling of complex wells.
* Provides guidance/mentoring to less experienced engineers.

MUST HAVE LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE US ON A FULL-TIME BASIS.
