Position Description:

The applicant will be required to tune the software parameters within the Stability Control System in such a way as to optimize the performance of the vehicle in all operating conditions as defined by the OEM Manoeuvres Catalogue and performance targets applicable to the specific vehicle project.

Skills Required:

High level driving skills at and beyond the adhesion limit in a range of high and low mu test environments Chassis tuning and analysis of vehicle handling characteristics during a driving manoeuvre. Software tuning of the Stability Control System.

Skills Preferred:

IPG CARMAKER and ADAMS software packages.

Experience Required:

Stability Control System tuning for an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.

Education Required:

Automotive or mechanical engineering.

Education Preferred:

Degree or above in one of the above.

Additional Information :

This role is nominally based at Gaydon although a considerable proportion of the test work will be carried out away from base - mainly in mainland Europe (Sweden, Germany, France and Spain) This is a 40 hour working week with a 15.30 finish on a Friday Travel expenses will be provided During test trips the working week will typically be 10 hour days, pay will be pro-rata for the hours worked.
