SSRS/Cognos Reports Developer Job

SSRS/COGNOS REPORTS DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Charles, MO.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- SSRS or COGNOS Reporting
- SAS code
- Report Development
- SQL
- Oracle. SQL Server, Teradata (plus)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for developing prototypes, designing and developing production self-service reports and reporting solutions on multiple platforms.
- This position interprets end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed reporting and analytical applications.
- Assists with continuous improvement of individual reports or reporting solutions, analysis and review of software requirements to determine feasibility of a design within time and cost constraints.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five to seven (5-7) years experience delivering enterprise class reports and/or reporting solutions with Microsoft SSRS or Cognos or similar package, SQL, UNIX and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a cross-platform computing environment using the following technologies:
- UNIX and .net over relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experienced in SQL performance tuning
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members within Information Delivery and Corporate users when applicable
- Willingness to accept responsibility and take ownership for projects
- Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, strong work ethic, and willingness to put forth extra effort when necessary without being asked
- Highly organized and detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Display a strong sense of urgency

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge of SAS specifically the ability to read SAS code is a plus
- Experience with Java a plus.
- Experience with Teradata is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
