SSIS Support Engineer and Developer - Dublin
12 Month Contract
Attractive rates offered
This role will be the primarily focused on support (60%) and the rest of the time making changes (40%). Must be on-site.
Requirements of role:
*To manage the loads and ETL routines for all solutions.
*Troubleshoot when there is a problem with loads.
*To perform ad-hoc extractions when required.
*To perform standard ETL support tasks as required.
*To work with the Energy International and Electric Ireland BI Lead to scope out work and refine functional requirements with the end-user.
*To work from the functional specifications to create technical specifications for Datamart changes.
*To build and test SSIS solutions to match the technical requirements.
*To assist the BI Solution Architect in providing Quality Assurance on all SSIS ETL work
*Direct one or more SSIS Support Engineers or Developers to ensure the quality of their code is fit for purpose.
*Share technical knowledge with colleagues and to develop any required handover document prior to the end of the contract.
Technical Skills Required:
Essential
*7-10 years working in Business Intelligence projects using data warehousing tools
*3-5 years hands-on experience using Microsoft SSIS.
*2+ years hands-on experience working as an SSIS Support Engineer.
*Excellent English as the resource will need good communication skills working with customers and other team members.
*Experience working on SSIS Data-mart/Datawarehouse implementations with at
*least two separate companies.
*Formally trained in Microsoft SSIS.
*Previous experience scoping SSIS projects ideally in the Data-mart/Datawarehouse area.
Desirable
*Previous experience working in a large company (> 5000 staff) or semi-state organisation
*Previous experience in Microsoft SQL Administration Support.
*Previous experience in Infrastructure Support.
*Previous experience in Finance Trading Datawarehouse implementations.
*Experience in Microsoft Master Data Services.
*Knowledge of BI Reporting and Analysis tools, such as SAP Business Objects and Tableau Analysis tool.
