ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a SSIS/ETL Hands-On Architect/Developer for a six month contract opportunity in DFW, TX.  The SSIS/ETL Hands-On Architect/Developer will be developing on SQL Server 2005 in anticipation of a targeted (by or before) Fall 2014 migration to SQL Server 2012 R2. The data mapping has already been designed for new SQL Server 2012 database, and the SSIS/ETL Hands-On Architect/Developer will be coding changes to make the transition smooth. The SSIS/ETL Hands-On Architect/Developer will work on applications consisting of SSIS - Integrated Services and Stored Procedures. The SSIS/ETL Hands-On Architect/Developer will review and make improvement suggestions in regards to hardcoded values and standard functionalities (ex MS JET Database Engine to Flat File Processes).  

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
Senior SQL Server 2005/2008 R2/2012 R2 Database Development
Migration from SQL Server 2005 (32-bit) to 2008 R2 (64-bit) -or- 2012 R2 (64-bit)
Migration from Windows 2003 Server (32-bit) to Windows Server 2008 R2 -or- Windows 2012 R2 Server (64-bit)
SQL Server 2008 R2/2012 R2 Clustered Environment Development
Review All Code/Create Accompanying Documentation
Document/Modify MS JET Engine Processes to Flat Files (STRONGLY preferred)
Identify/Recommend Suggestions/Resolutions to Change Requests
Complex T-SQL/Stored Procedures
Review/Reengineer T-SQL/Stored Procedures for Maximum Efficiency/Consistency
User-Defined Functions/Triggers/Constraints/Linked Servers
Tables/Views/Indexes/Joins, etc.
SSIS 2005/2008/R2 - Integrated Services
Package Design/Development
Scalable/Reusable ETL Components
Complex Business Logic
Troubleshooting/Monitor Performance Bottlenecks
Review/Reengineer Packages for Maximum Efficiency/Consistency
