Sr.GIS Analyst - Houston

Job description * The responsibility will include system maintenance, development and integration tasks related to geographic information systems (GIS) applications and databases * Responsible for global implementation of GIS IT systems and technical problem solving of GIS IT incidents * Collaborate with system managers and user representatives to ensure systems are properly tested and documented * Be proactive in catching up technical advancements and contribute to more effective GIS systems and applications * Participate in projects ranging from development to implementation of GIS applications * Work closely with GIS users in business areas * Work as a member of a global team working on global tasks in GIS IT and GIS data management area * This is a technical, system analyst position with no direct reports Qualifications * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (proof sufficient to satisfy US immigration laws is a requirement of employment) * Four + years experience from relevant GIS activities * Solid knowledge of system administration * Two + years of experience with ArcGIS and ArcSDE server administration * Two + years of experience with ArcGIS desktop Education * Not Indicated Personal qualities * Analytical skills and enjoy new challenges * Solution oriented and focused on problem solving * Have structured working methods * Works well with others and contributes to a positive team spirit * Service-minded * Takes the initiative and establishes contact across formal boundaries and various locations
