Sr. Deepwater Drilling Engineer (7-10 Yrs)

ROLE:
* Technical specialist possessing advanced knowledge of deepwater project planning and drilling.
* Work with Drilling Engineers, Drilling Supervisors, Geologists, Reservoir, and Subsea Engineers to ensure that Cobalt's deepwater wells are drilled efficiently and completed for early and long term well productivity, performance, completions cost, and operating integrity.
* Ensure that Cobalt well completions meet API RPs and best available practices and operate to HSSE standards.
* Travel to sites as required.
* Interchanges with other positions for duty cover etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* 10 years of offshore floating drilling experience.
* 5+ years Deepwater experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering
* Has worked together in a multidiscipline environment with Geologists, Reservoir, Drilling Operations, Logistics, and Subsea Engineers. Must have experience with suite of Landmark drilling programs.
* Rotation position typically 28 days on/28 days off.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Well developed engineering skills in drilling deepwater wells. Has experience or exposure to horizontal subsea tree completions; Must have relevant engineering degree and offshore rig background, excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
