Sr. Business Analyst - Risk and Trading IT

A leading investment firm in Chicago is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to add horsepower to the Risk and Trading IT department. Expansion of the this IT team has lead to the need for more leadership and risk experience within the group. This is a full-time position located in Downtown Chicago. The department works very closely with its end-users and the role requires a strong financial products background coupled with a certain degree of technical knowledge. Previous scripting and coding experience or a degree in computer science is strong preferred. The role itself will be a senior position. The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of other business analysts and working closely with the Project Managers, End-user and developers. Responsibilities include: * Liaise with developers, traders, quantitative analysts and QA team * Documentation of Requirements * Help Develop Test Plans and Scripts * Managing and coordinate multiple projects Qualifications for this role include: * Ability to oversee all stages of the SDLC process * Previous experience with coding, scripting * Experience with SQL Server * Experience with different types of Risk * 3 - 5 years of business analyst experience * 3 years of financial industry experience Interested parties should contact Don Effler at Huxley Associates.
