Sr Researcher Environmental Management

An an international energy company with operations in 36 countries buuilding on 40 years of experience from oil and gas production is looking for a Sr Researcher Environmental Management Specialist with a broad experience in environmental management to work in the unconventional hydrocarbons research business area within shale oil and gas.

Job description

* Manage, follow up and evaluate external research collaboration related to environmental issues
* Manage technology development projects both internally and externally
* Perform research within emission management and monitoring
* Perform research within water technology development
* Perform research within water management and water use minimization
* Perform research within chemical and waste management
* Perform research within environmental impact related to on-shore oil and gas activities
* Work in cross-disciplinary teams
* Actively sharing knowledge and information
* Develop and maintain good relationships towards both internal customers and contractors/vendors
* Suggest and participate in improvements/development of guidelines, systems and methods used within area of responsibility
* Apply and assure compliance with management system

Qualifications

* Required:
* Master's degree related to environmental and/or water management and/or terrestrial ecology
* Broad perspective related to environmental issues in the oil and gas industry
* Strong interest in environmental issues and research for shale operations
* 5-10 years of relevant experience
* US work authorization (*)
* Preferred:
* PhD
* Previous experience with water technology development
* Experience with ecological impact assessment on-shore
