Sr Oracle Developer

Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and analyze financial business requirements and translate them into efficient system design and implementation.
Write modular packages, stored procedures and functions for highly distributed heterogeneous computing environment.
Improve and automate the existing production systems.
Implement company's software applications for complex data warehousing projects using relational database, data modeling, extraction and financial business knowledge.
Research and evaluate new database concepts like object oriented database design and implement them.
Design and implement sophisticated and customized reports (multi tab and matrix like reports) Oversee implementation of the data warehouse and inquiry system.
Provide ongoing support to user community to enhance database systems and applications Performance tuning of database applications Guide other developers in designing and writing better and efficient codes.
Utilize Oracle SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Sybase, Unix shell scripting
Education and Experience Requirement:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered.
Alternatively Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, plus five (5) years experience in the job offered or Software developer.
Requirements:
Experience in computer systems design, Analysis, Development, Testing and Implementation
Experience in Logical & physical database design , mainly in: data modelling, key data analysis, determining business rules and data requirements
Experience with Oracle development tools and utilities, including SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, PL/SQL, Quest Toad
Experience with Oracle concepts like Materialized views, datapump utility
Experience in Database Performance tuning
Experience in Unix Shell scripting
