SQL SERVER REPORTING AND DATA WAREHOUSE DEVELOPER C#, ASP.NET, SSIS, BI

SQL Server Reporting and provide software development services to other areas of this company within the Public Sector. These organizational units require on-site Microsoft .NET software development services of a Contractor to supplement their own staff in order to satisfy current demand for the services. The Contractor's consultants will be assigned tasks within software engineering projects. These tasks will involve the design, construction, testing and documentation of specific software components, as defined by staff and following standards established in the organizational units.

The reports and data warehouse developer will develop and generate reports to meet the customer's needs and provide them with timely information that enables them to make decisions. The role requires the reports and data warehouse developer to completely understand complex large scale data models for an enterprise system and the underlying business processes and produce reports in various formats.

Environment

The software development work shall be done on site in Vienna, Austria, and the working language shall be English. The primary development languages shall be C# and ASP.NET and the main relational database management system shall be Microsoft SQL Server. The Company will provide a suitable computer with the appropriate development tools. The normal weekly number of working hours shall be forty, Monday to Friday. Exceptionally, there may be a need to work overtime or on Saturdays and Sundays.

Functional Responsibility

The Reports and Data Warehouse Developers shall have the following responsibilities:

Analyze information requirements from different user groups;

Design, implement and test the extraction, transformation and loading logic for the Data Warehouse in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and .NET C#;

Develop impactful reports using Microsoft Reporting Services platform (SSRS), MS Excel, Pivot tables and other intuitive graphical add-ons;

Design layout of reports and determine the best way to present data to end users; and

Prepare required documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

The Reports and Data Warehouse Developers shall have as a minimum the following qualifications:

Three years of Microsoft BI related development using SSIS and report development experience using Microsoft Reporting Services is desirable; At least one year of development work in MS SSIS and SSRS is necessary;

Knowledge of writing complicated yet efficient SQL for relational database such as Microsoft SQL Server is essential;

Knowledge and use of XML is necessary;

Strong analytical and communication skills with the enthusiasm to learn the inner workings of a large complex system; and

Results-Driven with ability to take initiatives and meet deadlines in a changing environment.

Education and Training

The Reports and Data Warehouse Developers shall have as a minimum the following education and training:

Five years relevant experience in the IT industry working as a reports developer with focus on a customer facing role;

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, physics or related discipline and an advanced degree in a related field which may be substituted for three years of experience

Microsoft certifications will be an advantage.
