SQL Server Developer (Brussels)

Je functie: Context of the mission
We are actively searching a SQL Server developer to join its integration team. The
IS Integration team is managing the integration flows mainly with external partners or with
packages. Architecture, design & implementation are managed within the team.

Objective of the job
- Design, development & support on SQL server solutions:

o Application/operational relational databases based on SQL Server 2008 or higher including SSIS/SSRS.
o BI solutions (analysis/reporting/dash boarding) based on SQL Server 2008 or higher including SSIS/SSRS.
- Support on user requirements gathering & analysis, functional & technical analysis of specific requirements when related to SQL server ETL or BI.

Mission period
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
(Depending on project evolution, extension is possible)

Localisation
Brussels centre.

Language requirement
Dutch and French, one fluent, the other one can be basic.

° Experience as ETL developer on SQL server platform (>1 year experience)
° Experience as an SQL server database developer (tables, views, triggers, unions, joins, complex queries, stored procedures) (>1 year experience)
° Experience as BI developer on SQL Server based technologies (>1 year experience)

Preferable
° Experience as BI analyst on SQL Server based technologies
° Experience on projects with different technology stacks, integration aspects (with packages or external solutions) & infrastructure aspects
° Experience as technical designer on SQL Server solutions projects (BI and/or operational DB applications)
° Experience in dashboard & scorecard (with SQL server)
° Experience on .NET applications development
° Experience within Insurance or financial or risk domain

Technical experience required (>1 year experience)
Mandatory
° Good knowledge and hands on experience in SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012 (tables, views, triggers, unions, joins, complex queries, T-SQL & stored procedure programming.
° Good knowledge and hands on experience in ETL (SSIS)
° Good knowledge and hands on experience in reporting with SSRS.
° General Knowledge on SQL server working
° Knowledge .NET C# & traditional data access techniques such as ADO.NET

Preferable
° Knowledge of BI reporting: OLAP design & implementation (SSAS) & overall framework (MS office pivot table, power pivot, etc.)
° Fluency with appropriate tools including SQL Management Studio, Profiler, Performance Monitor and other SQL Server management tools or related tooling as the MS Office suite.
° Knowledge & hands on Performance tuning & index management
° Knowledge of .NET technologies such as Entity framework, WCF, Web services
° Knowledge of SharePoint 2010/2013

Functional experience required
Mandatory
° Functional & technical analysis on database solutions (>1 year experience)
° Understanding of Best Practices for SQL server Database, data warehousing, ETL & BI solutions across the Enterprise
° Database modelling via modelling tools such as Erwin or Visio.

Preferable
° Ability to interact with Business Owners and gather
