SQL DEVELOPER

6 MONTH CONTRACT

This is a 6 month contract opportunity for an SQL Server Developer with Support Team experience to maintain a custom SQL Server database application and provide customer facing support function

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Undertake investigation, analysis, specification, technical design, construction, testing, installation and maintenance,
* Including all levels of documentation.
* Construct or modify, test, correct and document moderately complex program modules from specifications.
* Construct, interpret and execute plans, covering the full range of testing and implementation.
* Document all work carried out to the standard required.
* Undertake production support and warranty activities.
* Undertake change management activities.

You should be able to demonstrate the following

o Experience of leading customer focused support reporting to both development and support managers.
o Maintenance of release logs and operation of BAU delivery schedule
o Excellent communication skills
o Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2008
o VBA/XML is an advantage but not essential for this role

Candidate should be able to work independently within team working with established BA, test and support teams.

Ability to interact with customers to gather requirements and drive delivery within SLAs is essential.
