SQL Server DBA / SQL Database Administrator

SQL Database Administrator, £400-450 per professional day, London, long term contract in excess of 6 months.

Large multi national based in London urgently requires an MS SQL Server Database Administrator.

As an MS SQL DBA you will be expected to perform the following DBA tasks:

Develop,implement, and oversee the database policies and procedures ensuring the integrity and availability of databases and their adjoining software.

Designing, installing, monitoring, maintaining and performance tuning production and development databases whilst ensuring high levels of data availability.

As the MS SQL DBA you will also be responsible for:

Resolving incidents of infrastructure outages within agreed timescales and sometimes on an "on call" basis.

Conducting research and making recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

It is essential that you have:

Technical experience with design, build, install, configuring and supporting database servers mainly on the Microsoft platform.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts and techniques around ETL etc.
