A leading London Market Insurance company is looking to recruit a SQL Server DBA for a 6 month contract to support their current team. In this role you will be responsible for the availability of mission critical databases across the company, in the Production and User Acceptance, System Test and Development environments for fast-paced delivery.

The successful SQL Server DBA will have the following experience:

- Daily administration of the SQL server environment, including the proactive monitoring of the production environment.
- Daily administration of scheduled SQL Server Jobs identifying job failures and escalating to key stakeholders inform relevant parties when issues occur due to failure.
- Installation and configuration SQL Server 2005/2008 following the corporate standard, including the testing and deployment SQL Server Hot fixes, cumulative updates and service packs.
- Deploy database releases to both the UAT and production environments in conjunction with the Development and Infrastructure teams, whilst strictly adhering to change management control procedures.
- Experience of T-SQL to an intermediate level, including the development of triggers, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience of SQL Server Reporting services and integration services is required.
- A Good understanding of the Windows server operating system(windows 2003 and 2008), as well as a general knowledge of related infrastructure
- Exposure to data warehousing, analysis services and the Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions is desirable.

This SQL Server DBA role is a 6 month contract, and paying £300-375/day.
