MS SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (2601)

THE JOB:

Join a global database team that supports Microsoft SQL Server database products/platforms.
In this role you perform all standard production services DBA activities including installation, performance tuning, backup and recovery. Furthermore the tasks include clustering, replication, Database mirroring and Log shipping.

The position is for a strong production support DBA with good troubleshooting skills.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATES WITH:

- SQL Server 2005/8 exposure to 2012 preferable
- Microsoft SQL Server Production Database Administration
- Extensive SQL tuning skills
- Clustering, replication, Database mirroring and Log shipping skills
- Microsoft Windows 2003/8
- Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory architecture
- Extensive MS Business Intelligence suite know how
- Database installation, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Understanding of backup and recovery solution including lightspeed
- Full understanding of RFS, Incident and change management service delivery principles ITIL
- Commercial experience in a production and global financial organisation
- MCP and other MS certifications desired
- Pro-active and strong communicator
- Be able to prioritize your own workload and work with minimal supervision
- Fluent English is a must and German beneficial
