SQL Server DBA, Database Administrator

SQL Server DBA, SQL Server Database Administrator, SQL Server 2005/2008, T-SQL, OpenText, Livelink, Content Server.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a high profile Government department for an experienced SQL Server DBA.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate previous proven capability in the following areas:

-SQL Server 2005/2008 Database Administration
-Installation, configuration and maintenance of SQL components
-Backup recovery strategies
-High-availability solutions
-Database Replication
-Database Performance Monitoring
-SQL Agent Jobs
-T-SQL programming
-Ability to seek out required information which may be undocumented.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
-Ability to work on a self-sufficient basis.
-Ability to learn a system from ''hands on'' use.
-Ability to work comfortably within a fast changing environment, reacting quickly and positively to change.

The following skills are Highly Desirable:

-Open Text Products (Livelink 9.7.1 or Content Server 10)
-System Administration experience (to include IIS configuration)
-Experience of designing and developing SQL Server Business Intelligence (BI) solutions including
-Experience of using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 BI components (Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services)
-Design and deployment of BI solutions for data analysis and reporting
