OVERVIEW

- Support production and development environments.
- Perform backup, database integrity checks, and other database maintenance tasks.
- Perform data extraction and transformation.
- Perform database performance tuning.
- Knowledge of web technologies such as IIS, and SharePoint and their interaction with databases.
- Manage large SQL Server clustered environments.
- Support a large and diverse range of Servers.
- Proactive problem identification and resolution.
- Perform on-call duties.
- Work on other technologies besides SQL Server.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years with SQL Server Database Administrator
- Experience in a fast-paced enterprise environment managing a large quantity of Servers and databases
- Knowledge of SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012
- Experience with database availability, clustering, log shipping, and mirroring
- Working knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, IIS, SharePoint, and other related technologies
- Ability to perform SQL Server upgrade and migrations in a mission critical environment
- Experience with SSIS deployment
- Demonstrable performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting experience, including T-SQL and stored procedures
- Thorough knowledge of SQL Server security
