SQL Server DBA

This is a great opportunity to join a well-known Government organisation where you will be responsible for supporting, managing, developing and administer SQL databases.

The successful candidate's day to day duties will include:

- Database design and administration for a number of production environments
- Working with development teams to implement best practice methods for data access
- Providing support to operations team for any database performance/administration issues
- Analysis of existing code for ongoing performance optimisations
- Management of full life cycle environments from development to production

AT LEAST 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A DBA SUPPORTING MS SQL SERVER, WITHIN A CORPORATE, HIGH UP TIME PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT IS ESSENTIAL, AND WITH HIGH AVAILABILITY AND REPLICATION TECHNOLOGIES.

You should have a good understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices, as well as excellent performance monitoring and tuning experience.

Initiative, responsibility, enthusiasm, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key qualities that the successful candidate will display.
