SQL Server DBA

SQL Server DBA, Database Administrator, SSIS, SSRS, TSQL, Yorkshire

Our client, a rapidly expanding member of the retail market, is urgently looking to take on board a SQL Server DBA to help with ongoing projects.

The successful candidate must have at least:
* Production Database Administration for MSSQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008
* Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
* Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
* Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
* Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
* Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimisation (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
* Experience in the consolidation and migration of SQL 2000 Servers to later SQL versions
* Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server (especially using Double-Take)
* Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations.

The position will be looking to start mid to late September, so people that aren't immediately available can still be considered.
