SQL Server Database Administrator

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SQL SERVER DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (DBA) to support our client in Clayton, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Play a significant role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of production and non-production databases in compliance with application specifications.
- Design and implementation of SSIS/DTS packages.
- Perform root cause analysis related to SQL Server and supporting infrastructure software, and Application connectivity issues and recommend corrective measures.
- Application database replication.
- Analyze and monitor scheduled jobs (SSIS/DTS).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- SQL Server system administration.
- SQL Server performance monitoring and tuning.
- Application (SQL) performance tuning.
- Schema modifications.
- SQL Server backup and recovery.
- Familiar with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 (32bit/64bit) operating systems and HP Server hardware.
- General understanding of MDAC, ODBC, JDBC and OLEDB Connection configuration objects.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Object Oriented concepts, analysis and design.
- SQL

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- SQL Server installation and configuration.
- Analysis Services and Reporting Services installation, configuration and maintenance.
- Document configuration and maintenance items.
- Database migrations.
- Experience with EMC SAN Storage is a plus.
- MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER.
- Experience with Visual Studio.NET (VB/C#), IIS and Web Services a plus.
