SQL Server Database Administrator

*WORK FOR A HUGELY POPULAR NORTHWEST GAMES COMPANY AS A SQL SERVER DATABASE ADMIN IN THIS PREMIUM CONTRACT POSITION.*

OVERVIEW

- Manage highly visible production databases in a high-uptime web environment.
- Work with various internal teams during database design and development cycle to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage all database activities required to support releases of new applications to production Servers.
- Perform database backups, restores, and database maintenance tasks, and develop scripts and stored procedures to automate such tasks.
- Develop and implement database security best practices and ensure PII compliance.
- Perform SQL installations and upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 5 years' experience as a DBA
- Experience with SQL Server Administration for SQL 2005/2008 Enterprise Edition in a production environment
- In-depth knowledge of database monitoring and performance tuning best practices
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Cluster Services and SQL Clustering
- Strong Transact SQL (T-SQL) skills
- SQL replication technologies
- Experience with server and storage troubleshooting
- PowerShell -Understanding the differences between virtual and physical environments
