SQL Server Architect - BI/DBA/Infrastructure

SQL SERVER ARCHITECT - BI/DBA/INFRASTRUCTURE - This is a long term contract opportunity for an experienced SQL Architect for our client in the financial services sector in Zurich.

The ideal candidate has extensive background as a SQL Server DBA with more recent skills and experience as a Database Architect.

YOUR TASKS:

- Engages in research in all topics pertinent to the MSSQL stack and also wider IT developments
- Creates concepts and makes design decisions for new solutions in MS SQL scope
- Drives the Product with the high level design
- Knows how to get the products to the cloud

OPERATIONS AND SUPPORT:

- Acts as technical role model and mentor for MSSQL Operations
- Trains, consults and directs team members
- Monitors and improves quality of service request fulfilment
- Works together with MSSQL Engineer to ensure stability, availability and performance of MSSQL platform

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 8+ years DBA experience in MSSQL
- Expert knowledge of the MSSQL technology stack from an end to end perspective
- Excellent knowledge of MSSQL concepts, architecture, engineering, implementation, usage and operations
- Business Intelligence (BI) knowhow
- Very good Service Management and Project Management skills (ITIL Foundation certification)
- Fluent in English
