SQL Report Writer

We are seeking a SQL Report Writer for a 6 months contract position in Atlanta, GA

The Report Writer will be responsible for designing and developing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). The focus of this position is query and report development, but a more valuable candidate would have high proficiency in the analysis of report requirements and design and proven experience in delivering report solutions.

Responsibilities:
Analyze data models, data relationships, and dependencies
Make report recommendations based on findings.
Design and develop stored procedures and views necessary to support SSRS reports
Perform functional and performance testing.
Design, develop, and validate reports using SQL Server
Deploying reports to SSRS server and managing report catalog

Required Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people
Strong analytical, problem solving, creative thinking, and design skills.
Advance knowledge of TSQL queries (complex SQL scripts, views, and stored procedures)
Strong data analysis and report writing skills
Ad-Hoc report development and writing skills
Understanding of common business finance terms and concepts.
Hands on query and coding skills for MS Access databases
MS SQL Server (3+ years)
MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) (3+ years)
General report development experience (3+ years)
SQL tuning & data profiling
Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts

Useful Skills:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
Knowledge of graphical dashboard tools
MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
