Production Support Engineer SQL Windows Dublin. My client a leading financial services tech company are in urgent need of a talented Production Support Developer (SQL/Windows) to join them on a permanent basis.
* Three main skills sets, Windows Server skills (IIS) SQL and ability to troubleshoot network issues*
Your Primary role will be maintaining and improving internal Back Office software and related systems under guidance from Senior Software Developers and Team Leader. You will also ensure that maintenance, improvements and actions on live Servers do not introduce new software defects or affect the business negatively. My client will expect you to Implement solutions for functional and technical specification documents as provided by Business Analysts.
Successful candidate should have a good general knowledge of information technology and software development, theory, principles and practices, including the following: SQL queries and syntax and SQL Server; Microsoft Windows services, installation and diagnosis; MySQL, nginx, Apache a Basic understanding of TCP/IP Networking and popular application layer protocols FTP/HTTP/SNMP and knowledge of LAN/WAN networking
Candidates will be able to show a working knowledge of web services and messaging architectures. It would be advantageous if you had experience of Windows server administration, gnu/Linux and dpkg package management, HTML, Javascript, CSS (Cascading style sheets) XML, JQUERY. Candidates that can show experience of working knowledge of the .NET framework and or C#.Net application development will be at a distinct advantage.
